# Labouchere Blackjack Strategy

Labouchere blackjack strategy is another game tactics that requires a player to act in accordance with the previous hand result. The strategy corresponds to the negative progression and is also known as “cancellation system”. According to it the player’s bets increase after each loss and decrease after each win. For a newbie Labouchere calculations may seem somewhat complicated, but in fact it is rather simple and easy to use.

First of all you are to choose a sequence of numbers that can be distributed successively (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) or randomly (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 4, 5). The sequence length may vary depending on the table limits, but the short one is considered to be the most successful.

Each number stands for a certain bet size and chips amount. During the game your wager size is determined by the sum of the 1st and last numbers in the sequence. E.g. if you take 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 progression, your bet will be calculated as follows: 1+7 = 8. The next hand your bet size calculations change in accordance with the result of the previous one.

• 1) If your bet wins, you remove the 1st and last numbers. E.g., now you take 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 progression and calculate the bet size again: 2+6 = 8.
• 2) If your bet loses, the lost wager is added to the progression and put at the end of it. E.g. 2, 3, 4, 5 turns to 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and the next bet size will be formed this way: 2+8 = 10.

The series ends as soon as all the numbers in sequence are removed. As a result the player receives a profit.

Let’s consider the example.
